New at this blogging thing!

This is my first post. I am setting up a blog to share with my third graders in Texas when I travel to Alaska next month to observe first hand the start of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race. I have enjoyed teaching my students all the history and excitement of this race for about five years now. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to see the race start in person and send reports with photos back to my school.
